The Association of African Olympic Sports Confederations was established in Yaoundé Cameroon, on 13th October 2024, following the constituent General Assembly of the new body. Its pioneer President, Mr Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, President of the Confederation of African Athlethics(CAA), heads a nine-member Executive committee tasked with laying the groundwork for the new structure.
